OIKKOTAN — EST 2026, DHAKA

Our Story

Considered clothing, made for every day — cut and sewn in Dhaka, by people who care about the seam.

OIKKOTAN began as a question — what does honest apparel look like in a city that has clothed the world for decades, but rarely worn its own name on the label? We answered slowly. One fabric, one pattern, one fit at a time.

The result is a small line of garments built to outlast the season — and the next. We start with material we trust. We push proportions until they sit right. We resist trends so the work stays useful long after the moment that made it.

DHAKA WORKSHOP — 2026
[ 01 ]
ORIGIN

OIKKOTAN began in a small workshop in Dhaka, with three people, two sewing machines, and a pattern that we redrew until we stopped redrawing it. We were not trying to start a brand. We were trying to make a shirt we wanted to wear every day. The shirt came first; the name followed.

CRAFT

Dhaka has clothed the world for decades, often quietly and often without credit. The skill is here, the patience is here, the precision is here. We grew OIKKOTAN around the people who already knew how to do this — by paying for their time, by listening to what a garment asks of them, and by refusing to rush the things that should not be rushed.

FORWARD

We grow on our own terms — one fabric, one fit, one season at a time. We will never be the loudest brand in the room, and we are at peace with that. The work is to keep doing one thing well, and then the next thing, and the next.

“Clothing should feel as considered as the day you wear it.”

— OIKKOTAN
